Posted 29 September - Troopmaster is used for advancement with reports published to the yahoo file storage. If you use a Unit Management Software Troopmaster you can upload without even typing any advancement information.. However, if you just wanted to switch over to TroopMaster Web, then I think you'd be fine. Our new troop went with Troopmaster and purchased the additional DotNet with it, since everyone says that is what to get. Continuing may produce a corrupt database.

My question has to do with keeping blue card records for the unit long term for boys who are now men with children of their own. Initially, the system was to be named LodgeMaster; but the author of TroopMaster expressed concern that LodgeMaster would be confused. The glass is more than half full, is there room for improvement?

I know our troop previously use Rank-N-File some years ago, but the Advancement Chair at that time didn't like the program, thus the switch to TM. After looking at it for a very short time, I decided that I could not justify writing my own program because it did far more than I wanted it to do.
